The Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office – Labour, Youth, Employment, and Persons with Disabilities, Hon. Ridhiwani Kikwete, arrived in Songwe Region on February 23, 2025, for an official visit to inspect development projects in key sectors, including education, health, and infrastructure, aimed at improving the welfare of citizens.
Hon. Minister Kikwete is expected to inspect and lay foundation stones for projects valued at over TZS 700 billion across all local government authorities in the region.
Upon his arrival, he was received by the Regional Commissioner of Songwe, Hon. Daniel Chongolo, who briefed him on the region’s development progress and the preparations made for the tour.
During the visit, Minister Kikwete is accompanied by various officials and assured the Regional Commissioner that his team is well-prepared to carry out the tasks at hand.
Additionally, Hon. Kikwete is set to inspect the progress of the Sasanda Youth Center in Songwe District, where he will assess the development of the Youth Farm Project established within the center.
