Tanzania is set to host the 3rd G25 African Coffee Summit, a gathering of coffee-producing African nations, scheduled to take place on February 21-22, 2025, at the Mwalimu Nyerere International Convention Centre in Dar es Salaam.
The announcement was made today by the Director General of the Tanzania Coffee Board, Primus Kimaryo, during a press briefing ahead of this significant summit, which will bring together Heads of State from coffee-growing African countries.
Kimaryo stated that the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E. Samia Suluhu Hassan is expected to be the Guest of Honor at the event. The summit is anticipated to attract over 1,500 participants, including Heads of State, investors, agricultural experts, and key stakeholders in the coffee sector.
The conference will provide a platform for participants to discuss the future of Africa's coffee sector, challenges faced by farmers, and strategies to enhance the value of coffee in the global market. Additionally, the summit aims to strengthen trade cooperation among G25 member countries and boost the coffee sector's contribution to Africa's economy.
