The Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E. Dr. Philip Mpango, held discussions with the Chief Executive Officer of the UK-based Innovo Company, Mr. Paul Woodman, and the Director-General of MECCO, Mr. Nasser Sheikh, at Chamwino State House in Dodoma on February 17, 2025.
During the talks, Vice President Mpango welcomed Innovo to partner with the government in investing in infrastructure projects, including roads, railways, and energy infrastructure such as solar, wind, and geothermal power. He also highlighted opportunities in healthcare infrastructure development, including hospital construction and waste management systems.
The Vice President emphasized that Tanzania is one of the best investment destinations, boasting a resilient and fast-growing economy in Sub-Saharan Africa. He also pointed out Tanzania’s strategic geographical location, which enables the country to serve landlocked nations, thereby fostering trade and economic development.
Innovo, a UK-based company, has been actively financing and investing in infrastructure projects across the world, including Africa, where it has contributed to the construction of roads, hospitals, and airports.
